A complete redesign of The Cork Dork's website transformed a basic and uninspired online presence into a rich, engaging experience that authentically reflects the brand's personality.

Project
Details
Visiting the Cork Dork in Chalkwell or Rayleigh, feels like uncovering a hidden gem. It’s the kind of place you'd want to hang out in all evening; Super friendly, a fantastic wine list and with a vibe that's been compared to a cool Parisian cellar.
Challenge
In honour of opening their new wine bar in Rayleigh, Essex, The Cork Dork asked me to design a shiny new website for them. Their current website didn't express their personality and had a dated feel. The design was sparse and information was presented plainly, with little visual appeal, creating a generic user experience.
Goal
The focus was on keeping the rich character and warmth that the Cork Dork is known for. I used the earthy colour palette inspired by the wine bar's interior, creating a seamless feel between the online and physical spaces. To complete the look, hand-drawn icons of wine and cheese were integrated throughout the site, adding a personal, rustic touch that reflects the authentic, artisanal experience of the bar.
Result
The result is a complete redesign that better reflects the brand's character, and acts as an extension of the physical locations.
